More like a half-hour. We drove up towards Mt. High, but had to stop at Mile High as the road was closed for the remainder of the way. Unfortunately, there was a mild winter storm going on, so things weren't as pleasant as we would have liked. Every few minutes a strong wind would blow frozen drops of rain into our faces. By the time we were done, we were pretty thoroughly soaked. But hey, the kids got to see and play in the snow for the first time.
Both Josh and Benjamin took rides on a dish down a little slope. They did great for kids who had never seen snow before. Joseph, in the meantime, snuggled up next to me for extra warmth, even though he was bundled up nice and tightly to begin with.
In any case, we generally had a good time. We spent enough money getting "snow gear" that we're probably going to take at least one more trip to the snow, when the weather has gotten a bit better. On the way back, we stopped at a little Hungarian deli on the 138; that had yummy sandwiches, and I bought a sausage and walnut rull, as well.
