New House New House New House!!!

Well, we're all set to become Texans. Well, as much as one CAN in this area - it's chock full of transported Southern Californians. But anyway, we bought a house!

We looked at several resale houses, and then we started looking at models, and there's no going back after that. So! After five hours or so of driving all over McKinney and Frisco, we both fell in love with The Durham model in a community called The Heights at WestRidge. And there's one already well under construction which was being built for somebody who backed out JUST in time for us to pick some different colors in tile, carpet, trim, and the front door. You may take a Virtual Tour here. And it seems obnoxious to just up and say so, but I know everybody's going to ask: It's 3,000 square feet for $184,000. Yes, ladies and gentlemen of Sunny California, a two-story, 4 bed/2.5 bath brick beauty with real tile in the entry and kitchen for less than $200K. I'm done "paying for the weather." It's not worth what our old house is going for.

By the way, McKinney is every bit as charming and lovely as advertised.
